Boar's Head Festival, 2008
Join us on December 6th, 2008, for our Third Annual Boar's Head Festival - Ye Olde English Feaste! Event info and a ticket order form can be downloaded in PDF or in image format. Any questions, call Sue at 330-725-7530 or email her at: airbecks@msn.com.

Theatre Camp and Acting Classes
Our next big addition to the Theatre is Acting Classes.  We have begun our first session and they are very successful.  Twenty five students signed up and we are holding an afterschool class for children ages 9-12 and an evening class for ages 13-19. The students are home school children, and students from Medina and Buckeye schools.  The classes run for 5 weeks with the 5th week being the short production for family and friends.  The classes are being taught by April Needham a  sophomore at Baldwin Wallace.  She was highly recommended by Jack Winget, our artistic director and resident of the Buckeye community and a full time professor of theatre at Baldwin Wallace.  She is working on basic theatre concepts with them and also working on audition techniques to get them ready to audition for our summer production.  We are very excited about this addition and our next classes begin in the Fall. The class Registration form can be downloaded here. Please register soon, class size is limited!

Recent Production: Father Knows Best
Auditions were held in March, the cast and crew worked very hard but also had a lot of fun, and the audience greatly enjoyed this family comedy. We plan to add pictures to this website, so check back soon.

Buckeye Theatre Group News
Buckeye Community Theatre sent costumed cast members to represent us at The Medina County Spotlight Showcase Event in December, 2007. We are planning on having small groups go to the various festivals and parades around town throughout the summer and Fall to spread the good word of Buckeye Community Theatre and the Boars Head Festival.  We will go in some type of costume of course.  If anyone would like to join us, please let me know.  Especially if you are planning on being at one of the events already!
Our wonderful treasurer, Alison Oswald, has completed the paperwork for filing our tax exempt status, and we soon be announcing our 501c3 tax-exempt status as a non-profit community theatre. This will allow us to offer memberships, and to ask contributions and advertisers to support us with tax deductible donations. In the meantime, we always have need of more volunteers for all aspects of the group. If anyone would like to help, or if you have any experience that you can share with us, please contact Sue at 330-725-7530.
After two years of productions, The Buckeye Community Theatre held its first organizational meeting on March 16, 2008, and more volunteers are welcome. Please contact us, we love any and all help!

As you can see, we are as busy as ever growing our Theatre.  If anyone would like to help out with our upcoming productions, either working, acting, or attending, just get a hold of me and I would love to answer any questions by emailing me at: airbecks@msn.com. I look forward to talking to you soon!
